EAGLE MOUNTAIN — Construction of a trail connecting two subdivisions flanking the new Hidden Hollow Elementary School is expected to begin soon.

The trail is to extend from the Ruby Valley subdivision to the Lone Tree subdivision with the school between the two housing developments. Additionally, the city will complete a trail that links the two settled portions of the city together, city spokeswoman Linda Peterson said.

The Ranches, a collection of subdivisions on the east, is separated from the City Center on the west by more than two miles of open, undeveloped land. A single roadway now ties the two sections together but a new trail will connect the Mid Valley Regional Park to the City Center, completing the trail between Ruby Valley and the City Center.
