Rep. Jim Matheson should attend the Democratic National Convention later this month and do what he was elected to do: represent the state of Utah and its citizens. One of the duties of an elected official is to represent his political party at the convention. Matheson is also a superdelegate, and his vote is needed at the convention. Matheson is supposed to represent the citizens of Utah all the time, not just when it's convenient for him. We aren't paying him $169,300 a year to skip conventions.
