Music, dance auditions
Jubilate, a Salt Lake-based chamber choir, is looking for singers to perform Mozart's "Requiem" on Sept. 11 to honor those who lost their lives in 2001.
Singers may attend rehearsals Monday nights beginning Aug. 11, at Mount Tabor Lutheran Church, 210 S. 700 East, at 7 p.m.
The choir also is seeking musicians. To set up an appointment, or for more information about the choir, contact Jane at 801-520-2855 or 801-743-1791.
Wasatch Chorale will hold its annual auditions for all voices on Aug. 20 and 27 at the Utah Valley University's choral department office on the fourth floor of the Gunther Trades Building in Orem. Auditions will be held from 6-9 p.m.
The Orchestra and Chorus of Sandy City has an immediate opening for chorus master. The position requires preparing the chorus for concerts with the orchestra, conducted by Joel Rosenberg. The chorus master also will conduct chorus concerts. Those interested should send applications to Joel Rosenberg, 1950 Browning Ave., Salt Lake City, UT 84108.
The Ballet West Academy will hold auditions Saturday at the Capitol Theatre, 50 W. 200 South.
Dancers ages 8-9 years old may audition from 1:30-2 p.m.; dancers ages 10-12 years old may audition from 2-3 p.m., and dancers ages 13-18 years old may audition 3-5 p.m.
Dancers need to arrive 30 minutes before their audition times in order to register. There is no audition fee.

The Imagine Ballet Theatre will hold auditions for its original performance of "The Nutcracker," on Saturday, at Peery's Egyptian Theater dance studio, 2415 Washington Blvd., Ogden.
Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. Auditions will run from 10 a.m.-noon. There will be a $15 audition fee.
Young dancers ages 7 years old and older are encouraged to audition. Girls must wear black leotards, pink tights and have their hair in a bun. Boys must wear white T-shirts and black tights and ballet shoes.
