How about a review that appreciates art? It seems that every time the Deseret News reviews a play at the SCERA Theater in Orem, the reviewer has breathed too much exhaust fumes on the freeway. When the SCERA most graciously put "Smokey Joe's Cafe" on again in April, the Deseret News gave its usual negative review, but I knew better. I saw this version seven times.
Once again, SCERA has given us a stunning and very entertaining play, "Pride and Prejudice," only to find it panned in the Deseret News. I hope when the good Lord calls me home, my eternal reward for a life well-lived will be season tickets to the SCERA.
