A group of 25 people were in good condition Sunday after getting lost and spending the night in a remote part of Kane County.

The four-car convoy from California used a GPS system to take a shortcut near Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument on Saturday and became lost, said Kane County Sheriff Lamont Smith.

"They got off on a two-track road and got stuck in the sand," he said.

The group got lost around 8 p.m. Saturday and were found around noon Sunday, Smith said.
