After fueling many aircraft at Manas Air Base in the Kyrgyz Republic to fight terrorism in Afghanistan, about 40 airmen from the 151st Air Refueling Wing of the Utah Air National Guard are coming home.
"It's incredibly rewarding to contribute to the mission here," said Chief Master Sgt. Joe Mace, also known as Chief Boom, in a new release. "There's a lot of pride in the face of our guardsmen knowing that their sweat and effort is having a tangible impact for the troops on the ground."
The airmen will return to the Utah Air National Guard Base on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
