EPHRAIM An 11-year-old girl died in an ATV crash here.
Police said the crash happened about 7 p.m. Monday at 950 E. Canyon Road. The girl, whose name has not been released, was riding in an ATV being driven by another youth.
"It hit the curb and turned onto its right side, trapping the victim underneath," the Ephraim Police Department said in a statement Tuesday.
The girl was transported by ambulance to Sanpete Valley Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver and two other passengers were injured.
"Speed may be a factor, but the cause of the accident is still under investigation," the police department said.
