Logan officials are extending incentives for residents and businesses to install solar power systems.
The Municipal Council voted to continue offering $2,000 per kilowatt of installed capacity for solar systems as part of a larger package of incentives for renewable energy. The rebate is available to Logan City Light & Power's residential and commercial customers.
The pilot program, which began in January, was scheduled to run out June 30.
Logan Councilwoman Laraine Swenson says she hopes more people will take advantage of the rebate.
