ST. GEORGE Charges of child-abuse homicide, a first degree felony, were filed Friday against a St. George man accused of causing the death of a 4-month-old baby.
A warrant has been issued for Gregory T. Fullerton, 30, and bail has been set at $150,000.
Police were called out to a home near 100 North and 2700 East at about 8 p.m. Wednesday and found the 4-month-old child not breathing. The child was taken to a St. George hospital and later flown to Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City, where he died, St. George police reported.
Fullerton was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail for investigation of aggravated child abuse prior to the child's death. A police spokeswoman said Fullerton posted bail and has been released. With the amendment to charges filed, bail was increased to $150,000 and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
