Our president says "America's addicted to oil." What's the solution this former oilman offers? His answer to America's fossil-fuel addiction is to increase the "drug" supply. He, John McCain and "big energy" special interests say we should open America's shoreline and wildlands to drill more oil, dig more coal and continue harming people and the environment by burning more fossil fuels.
America needs responsible leadership that will wholeheartedly put into practice what Nobel Prize winner Al Gore has proposed: that America kick its fossil-fuel addiction within 10 years by deriving 100 percent of our electricity from clean, safe, renewable, free, all-domestic sources of energy and converting our vehicles to electric power.
