Cottonwood Heights: Today 7 a.m., Butlerville Days, Family Historical mile bike ride from Guthrie Skate Park, adjacent to Butler Park, 7500 S. 2700 East; 4 p.m., parade followed by rides, games, bouncehouses, face painting, sack races, free watermelon; 6:45 p.m.; pie-eating contest 7:30 p.m.; sand castle competition (judging at 8:45 p.m.); bands, entertainment, fireworks at dusk. Liberty Park: Today Deseret News race and parade end at the park; 7 a.m. to dark, Native American celebration, community cultural festival, food, arts and crafts booths, entertainment and free powwow. Free admission, tennis center is closed, pool is open, fireworks at dusk. Call 972-7800.
