Beaver County

Beaver: Today — 6:30 a.m., registration for 5K run/walk; 9:30 a.m., parade on Main Street; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., dinner in the city park, kids games; 1-4 p.m. free swimming at city pool; 2 p.m., horse races, Lion's Club racetrack (also on Saturday); 8 p.m., Clegg's rodeo (also on Friday) cost: $7 adults, $3 children; 9:45 p.m., fireworks at new city baseball complex. 888-848-5081.

Logan: Today — 7-10 a.m., 5th Annual Lions Club pancake breakfast. Cottonwood Heights: Today — 7 a.m., Butlerville Days, Family Historical mile bike ride from Guthrie Skate Park, adjacent to Butler Park, 7500 S. 2700 East; 4 p.m., parade followed by rides, games, bouncehouses, face painting, sack races, free watermelon; 6:45 p.m.; pie-eating contest 7:30 p.m.; sand castle competition (judging at 8:45 p.m.); bands, entertainment, fireworks at dusk. Liberty Park: Today — Deseret News race and parade end at the park; 7 a.m. to dark, Native American celebration, community cultural festival, food, arts and crafts booths, entertainment and free powwow. Free admission, tennis center is closed, pool is open, fireworks at dusk. Call 972-7800.
