A man has been charged with stabbing another person over a matter of $50 outside a Salt Lake bar in May.
On May 25, the 44-year-old man confronted another person inside the Radio City Bar, 147 S. State, claiming he was owed $50, according to charges filed Tuesday in 3rd District Court.
The victim said he did not owe the man money and left the bar. As the man was walking down the street, the suspect grabbed him and stabbed him in the side, according to the charges.
During a search of the suspect, police found a serrated knife and drug paraphernalia, court documents state.
The man faces one count of aggravated assault, a third-degree felony, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, a third-degree felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class B misdemeanor.
