59-year-old accused in abuse of girl, 15

CLINTON — Police here have arrested a man accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl.

Authorities said the girl accused the 59-year-old man of sexually abusing her from the time she was 9 until she turned 11.

"He had her look at some obscene material and possible pornography," Clinton Police Chief Bill Chilson said Monday. "She gave us specific information that led us to believe he had done this. He denied all of it."

The man was booked on Saturday into the Davis County Jail for investigation of sex abuse, rape of a child, sodomy upon a child, lewdness and dealing harmful material to a minor. Bail was set at $250,000.
