SPRINGVILLE — The 35th annual Quilt Show opened Sunday at the Springville Museum of Art and will run through Sept. 4.

Both the Springville Museum of Art and the Utah Valley Quilt Guild host the show, which is one of many juried shows annually at the museum.

Jurors look for quality in workmanship, design, color, originality and general appeal, a museum spokeswoman said. After the panel qualifies them, the quilts are displayed, and judged by Bonnie Bryce and Penny Stephenson.

Awards cover a variety of categories including Best in Show and Directors Award.

The Springville Museum of Art is located at 126 E. 400 South. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; it is closed Mondays.

Admission is free. For more information, contact the museum during business hours at 801-489-2727 or visit www.smofa.org.
