PROVO Aimed at building a gym and reducing graffiti, members of the Provo Seventh-day Adventist Church will host a rummage sale Thursday morning.
The church group has raised about $550,000 to build a gym in southeast Provo to get children off the streets, and it needs another $200,000, said church member Linda Walton. So it will have a rummage sale Thursday at the church, 255 S. 700 East, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Several organizations, including Habitat for Humanity and Provo city, have chipped in items to put on sale. Walton said anyone interested in donating "treasure or junk" can bring it by an hour before the sale starts.
