HURRICANE — The Washington County Sheriff's Office is hailing the success of a Web site created to help catch some of southern Utah's most wanted criminals.

Since it launched last month, deputies said, their fugitive apprehension unit has been able to capture four of the five individuals first posted at washeriff.net.

"The public has proved to be the most successful tool we have as a fugitive apprehension unit," said Washington County sheriff's deputy Brock Bentley. "We go out all day, every day, searching for these people, but with the public's help we are seeing great results and a very high success rate."
