The "Eyes Westward" statue at This Is the Place Heritage Park is dedicated Saturday by Elder M. Russell Ballard of the LDS Church. The sculpture depicts Brigham Young and Joseph Smith looking toward "the promised land" and is a replica of a statue that sits in Nauvoo, Ill., on the bank of the Mississippi River.
