AMERICAN FORK American Fork Steel Days will hold its first e-waste recycling event Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Refresh Wireless, 539 E. State.
"E-waste is anything that is electronic," Refresh Wireless owner Nathan Hanamaikai said. "That includes cell phones, alarm clocks and old computer monitors."
People are encouraged to bring their used or obsolete electronics items to the event and join in the communitywide effort to move toward recycling electronic equipment. All items except televisions are free to recycle.
Refresh Wireless is moving toward a more sustainable business model, and that is what sparked the creation of the e-waste recycling event.
