KEARNS — Investigators are still trying to determine what sparked a two-alarm fire that destroyed part of a house Thursday afternoon.
The fire started in either the kitchen or living room of a rambler near 5000 South and 4980 West, about 3 p.m., said Unified Fire Authority spokesman Jay Fearnley.
No one was home at the time the fire started. The flames caused about $60,000 in damage, Fearnley said.
