Doping agency finds positive EPO test

AURILLAC, France (AP) — The French anti-doping agency says veteran Spanish rider Manuel Beltran has tested positive for EPO at the Tour de France. Pierre Bordry, leader of the French agency, told The Associated Press on Friday that the 37-year-old Liquigas rider has been informed there were traces of the performance-enhancing drug in a test carried out during the race. Beltran has the right to ask for a second backup sample to be tested.
