Franklin Covey Co. reports $1.5M net loss for quarter

Franklin Covey Co. on Thursday reported a net loss available to common shareholders of $1.5 million, or 9 cents per share, for the quarter ended May 31. That compares with net income of $539,000, or 3 cents per share, for the same period last year.

The Salt Lake-based consulting and training company said the net loss from operations was $852,000, compared with net income from operations of $2.4 million a year earlier.

Sales for the most recent quarter totaled $59 million, down from $64 million in the year-earlier quarter.
