MEXICO CITY — Mexican authorities say they have found the bodies of three decapitated men accompanied by a dead snake and threatening messages.

A report from the state prosecutor's office obtained by The Associated Press says the bodies were found Friday in a car trunk in Culiacan, capital of the Pacific coast state of Sinaloa. They were mutilated and riddled with bullets. The discovery comes two days after four other decapitated bodies were found in the city.

Peru: Ancient textiles found

LIMA — Shoppers at a tourist market in Peru's capital could have netted greater bargains than they thought — rare, pre-Hispanic textiles costing little more than a Machu Picchu magnet.

Police and archaeologists raiding the block-long, outdoor Indian Market June 27 found swatches of centuries-old cloth — mainly from the Chancay culture — nestled among itchy llama sweaters and other mass-produced Peruvian handicrafts. Some dated as far back as the 13th century.
