From Deseret News archives:
Dorame is eliminated from 'Think You Can Dance'
It was a bad week for all three men with Utah ties to the competition Thayne Jasperson and Gev Manoukian joined Dorame in the bottom three when the results of the viewer voting were announced.
For the third time in four weeks, Dorame and his partner, Kourtni Lind, were in the bottom three. Only this time, both were sent home by the judges after dancing their solos.
Dorame knew this might be his last week on the show, but he told the Deseret News he had no second thoughts and no regrets.
"Oh, for sure," he said before the vote was announced. "Coming this far, doing what I've done and learning what I've learned, I would not give it up for the world."
Despite Dorame's exit, three Utahns remain in the competition. Chelsie Hightower, 18, of Orem continued to receive high praise from the judges and has yet to be in the bottom three; Manoukian, 21, a native of Kazakhstan who lives in Centerville, got more mixed reviews and found himself in the bottom three for the first time.
The 12 remaining contestants perform again on Wednesday; one man and one woman will be eliminated on Thursday.
