Celebrate an old-fashioned 4th of July at This Is the Place Heritage Park. The Liberty Days celebration, taking place today and tomorrow, features a patriotic program, a mini-rodeo, relay races, and old-time baseball game and more. You can also enjoy all the other sights and fun the village has to offer, including the new people-mover trains that represent those that met at Promontory Point, the new Monument Cafe and a brief film on the westward migration.
The park is located at 2601 E, Sunnyside Ave. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for children and seniors. For more information, visit www.thisistheplace.org.
