Host of festivities planned for Fourth of July
Kaysville: July 4: 6 a.m., cannon shot; 6:30-10:30 a.m., breakfast, DATC (300 South 500 East), $5 per person, $25 per family; 7:30 a.m., 5K & 10K run and 5K walk, Davis High School Track/Stadium (325 S. Main) fee $15.; 10 a.m.-10 p.m., booths, kids carnival, entertainment, Davis High School south parking lot; 11 a.m., parade, DATC to Main Street, north along Main Street to 100 North, east to 200 East; 3 p.m., Disney's "Beauty and The Beast," Davis High School auditorium; 10 p.m., fireworks, Davis High School/DATC area; 801-444-0079.
North Salt Lake: July 3: 6 p.m., fly-over, sky divers, live music, food, games and fireworks at dusk, Eaglewood Golf Course, 1110 E Eaglewood Drive, 936-3877.
West Point: July 3: 6 p.m., picnic in the park, 3-on-3 basketball tournament, raffle, horseshoes, rides, food, fun and music, kids' survivor; 8 p.m., Timothy the Musician, Fire on the Mountain and Contagious in the Loy Blake Park, 3500 W. 550 North; July 4: 6 a.m., flag-raising and community breakfast; 6:30 a.m., 5K run, 2-mile walk; 8:30 a.m., parade with military fly-over, 2300 W. 550 North; 1 p.m., survivor challenge; all-day events include baseball games, baby contest, bingo, reptile show, arts, tractor show, crafts and food, Loy F.
