John Vincent of Sandy will try to ride his bicycle 350 miles in 24 hours or less to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Vincent, 50, is riding for his sister, who died from diabetes years ago at the age of 22.
Last year, Vincent rode 301 miles from his home in Sandy to Ashton, Idaho. This year, he said he hopes to reach West Yellowstone, Mont.
Donations on behalf of Vincent's ride can be made by check payable to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the MV Ride should be designated on the check. Checks may be sent to the foundation at 132 S. 600 East, Suite 100, Salt Lake City, UT, 84102.
For more information on Vincent's ride, e-mail johnvinc@burgoyne.com or call 801-550-9104.
