A homeless woman has been charged with trying to kidnap two children at the downtown branch of the Salt Lake City Library.
On June 20, Terryette Woods, 51, grabbed two sisters and tried to pull them out of the library, 400 S. 200 East, according to charges filed Thursday in 3rd District Court.
The children, 5 and 8, refused to follow the woman and threatened to scream, according to the charges. That's when Woods reportedly saw a security guard and left the library.
Woods faces two counts of child kidnapping, a first-degree felony.
