TOOELE Sheriff's deputies arrested a robbery suspect making a run for the Utah-Nevada border with two infants inside his car.
The man is accused of robbing the Top Stop convenience store in Lake Point at gunpoint late Wednesday night. Tooele County sheriff's deputies were watching for the suspect's dark colored Honda, heading off on State Route 36.
About 10 p.m., a sheriff's deputy spotted the man entering Wendover. The man was arrested and a 3-month-old girl and a 19-month-old girl were in the car with him. They were placed in state protective custody until their mother, who lives in Wyoming, could be found.
The man was booked into jail for investigation of robbery, possession of a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen vehicle.
