KAYSVILLE — A stretch of northbound I-15 was closed Thursday afternoon as paramedics airlifted a man injured in a T-bone crash.

About 2:50 p.m., the driver of a sedan tried to merge into an inside lane when he came too close to a semitrailer and swerved, said Utah Highway Patrol trooper Cameron Roden.

The driver's car went out of control, turned sideways and was T-boned by a pickup truck. Both vehicles then crashed into a concrete barrier.

The sedan's driver, whose age was not immediately known, was going in and out of consciousness when he was flown to Intermountain Medical Center, Roden said. The man broke a leg and possibly suffered a crushed pelvis.

Two people inside the truck suffered minor injuries.
