At Casper, Wyo., the Owlz improved their league-best record with a 6-0 victory over the Casper Ghosts. Jayson Miller earned his first win of the year, scattering four hits and striking out five in six innings. The Ghosts had two runners on with no outs in the bottom of the third, but Miller struck out Shane Lowe and then forced consecutive ground outs to get out of the only jam he would face all night. Andrew Taylor fanned four batters in two scoreless innings of relief.
Donato Giovanatto put the Owlz on the board in the second inning with a two-out RBI single. Giovanatto and Rian Kiniry each finished with three hits on the night.
RAPTORS 10, CHUKARS 2: At Ogden, the Raptors' bats caught fire and propelled the struggling team to its first win of the year. The Raptors scored a season-high 10 runs and collected 11 hits by eight different players. Steven Caseres went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and Clay Calfee added a couple of hits, including his third home run.
