PROVO — The Utah County Commission received the official 2007 audit from Gilbert and Stewart accountants Tuesday. All budgets and county monies were in compliance with state law.

James Gilbert, who presented the commission with the audit results, said there were no incidents of inappropriate handling of cash. All cash the county receives must be deposited within three days, which in years past hasn't always been done correctly, said Commissioner Steve White. He said the county has "worked hard to try and rectify that."

Gilbert added that last year the county received about $13.5 million from federal awards and programs. About $6 million of that was for the Women, Infant and Child program.
