Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff is recovering at home after his latest round of surgeries on a leg he badly injured in a motorcycle accident last year.

Shurtleff was released from the hospital late Monday and will recover at home, spokesman Scott Troxel said Tuesday. The attorney general developed a staph infection in his leg, but it is not an antibiotic-resistant strain. He will now spend the next six weeks on an IV drip.

Shurtleff has undergone seven surgeries for injuries to his leg and shoulder.
