ROOSEVELT — A Roosevelt man died when his pickup truck veered off a state highway near here and rolled several times.

Utah Highway Patrol trooper Todd Johnson identified the victim as Jason R. Pugh, of the Roosevelt area.

Pugh's truck was on state Route 40 about seven miles from Roosevelt sometime Friday morning when it veered off the roadway and then overcorrected. The eastbound truck hit an embankment and rolled several times. Pugh, 23, suffered major head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
