Two more finalists were eliminated on Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" on Thursday night, but for the second week in a row all four dancers with Utah ties survived.
Also for the second week in a row, one of the four was in danger of elimination when viewers' votes were tallied after Wednesday's partner dances. But while Thayne Jasperson, 27, of Springville, and his partner were in the bottom three, he impressed the judges with his solo on Thursday night and advanced along with 15 other contestants.
Matt Dorame, 22, a native of Arizona who has lived in Salt Lake City for the past two years while performing with the Odyssey Dance Theatre, was "safe" in this week's voting after being in the bottom three a week ago. For the second week in a row, both Chelsie Hightower, 18, of Orem, and Gev Manoukian, 21, a native of Kazakhstan who lives in Centerville, were also "safe."
Partners Susie Garcie and Marquis Cunningham were eliminated.
The 16 remaining contestants dance again on Wednesday; two more will be eliminated on Thursday.
