OREM An Orem man has been arrested for investigation of his involvement in a gang-related shooting that took place in February.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, police believe the man was driving a vehicle in Orem on Feb. 10 when a passenger in the car fired shots at another vehicle. Investigators said three people were involved in the incident and the other car, which was shot in the hood, belongs to a member of a rival gang.
On Monday Orem police questioned the man and, according to the affidavit, he admitted he was driving the car when the shooting occurred. The report also states that he told police he fled to Georgia soon after the shooting, but he had since returned.
The man is being held in Utah County Jail for investigation of felony accessory to an attempted murder with a gang enhancement. His initial court appearance will take place June 24.
