Police say they busted a would-be cat burglar last week while he was taking a catnap.
The 33-year-old West Valley man was arrested June 9 after he broke into an office building at 1849 W. North Temple, rifled through some drawers and fell asleep behind a desk, according to charges filed Monday in 3rd District Court.
The man caused about $1,000 in damage to the office and took three sets of keys and $7.26 in change, according to the charges. He faces third-degree felony counts of burglary and criminal mischief and a class B misdemeanor count of theft.
