Payday loan outlet is robbed at gunpoint

TREMONTON — Police are looking for a man who robbed a check-cashing/payday loan outlet at gunpoint Friday evening.

Police said a man witnesses described as Hispanic or Asian, wearing all-black clothing and a ski mask, came into the Ready Money store at 27 E. Main in downtown Tremonton shortly before 6 p.m., brandished a handgun and demanded money.

The man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. Tremonton police are asking anyone with information on this incident to call the department at 435-257-2632.
