Jazz backup small forward Matt Harpring on Thursday underwent successful arthroscopic surgery to remove two bone spurs from his right ankle, the announced earlier today.
The outpatient procedure was performed by Dr. R. Marvin Royster in Atlanta, where Harpring played at Georgia Tech and makes his offseason home.
No information on Harpring's recovery timeline was immediately made available.
The 32-year-old has played 10 NBA seasons, including six in Utah. He averaged 8.2 points and 18.1 minutes over 76 games during the 2007-08 regular season.
