The Utah Asian Festival will take place at the South Towne Exposition Center, 9575 S. State, on Saturday. Admission is free.
The event will run from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and will feature a kite exhibit celebrating the 50th anniversary of the sisterhood between Salt Lake City and Matsumoto City.
Other highlights will include the Asian "American Idol" singing competition and a children's activity area.
