HEBER CITY — Utah Valley State College's Wasatch campus will ring in UVSC's upcoming transition to Utah Valley University, which becomes official July 1, with a UVU-phoria celebration and alumni reunion June 23 at the Wasatch campus.

The event will feature a $5 dance and cheer clinic sponsored by the UVSC cheer and dance teams for children ages 5-18 from 4-6 p.m.; a free Family Fun Fest from 6-7:30 p.m., at which dinner will be available for $2 per person or $10 per family; local entertainment from 7:30-8:30 p.m.; a magic show from 8:30-10 p.m. and fireworks at 10 p.m., followed by a free comedy sports show until midnight.

"The community made it possible for this campus to be built in the first place, and now they are equally important in the successful transition," said Shad Sorenson, assistant vice president and administrator for the Wasatch campus.
