Real Salt Lake is lending former No. 1 draft pick Nikolas Besagno to Seattle of the United Soccer Leagues.
Besagno was RSL's first draft pick when the expansion club selected him No. 1 in the 2005 MLS SuperDraft.
Salt Lake general manager Garth Lagerwey says Besagno, who turns 20 in November, can get some playing time with the Sounders that he isn't getting with Real. Besagno has played in eight MLS games but none this season.
Salt Lake can recall Besagno at any time through Sept. 9.
