Art canvas

• Southam Gallery, 50 E. Broadway, will have a special showing of art on Saturday from 3-8:30 p.m. Some of the featured artists are Karl Thomas, A.D. Shaw, Richard Boyer and Elva Malin.

• The annual Chalk Art Festival at The Gateway will take place Friday 4-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-9 p.m. The free event is sponsored by the Utah Foster Care Foundation. For more information, visit utahfostercare.org.

• Brigham City's first-ever street painting event will take place during the city's annual Heritage Arts Festival on Saturday. The theme is "A Patchwork of Cultures." Interested participants will be painting their "patch" on Forest Street from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Participation fees are $2 per person or $10 per group or family.
