Jazz backup shooting guard Kyle Korver will undergo surgery tonight to remove a bone spur from the top of his left foot, Jazz general manager Kevin O'Connor said today.
The surgery will be performed in New York City by Dr. Jonathan Deland, according to a news release from the Jazz.
The Jazz fully expect Korver to be ready for the start of training camp in October, O'Connor said.
Acquired by the Jazz from Philadelphia late last December, Korver appeared in 50 regular-season games in a reserve role for Utah, averaging 9.8 points in 21.5 minutes per game.
He also averaged 7.8 points in 21.6 minutes per game over 12 playoff games for the Jazz this year.
