A Springdale, Washington County, man faces federal charges after investigators say he received child pornography from an international trafficker.
Gary Peek, 55, was indicted Wednesday in U.S. District Court on one count of possession of child pornography.
The charge comes as part of an international investigation, in which police used a known child pornography trafficker to crack down on other suspects, according to court documents. Peek received four suspected child pornography images from the trafficker last November, according to a complaint filed last week.
In a search of Peek's home earlier this month, investigators found about 50 videos and more than 1,000 images of children as young as 6 engaging in sexual acts, sometimes with adults, according to the complaint.
