EAGLE MOUNTAIN Eagle Mountain will host the 2008 Home Town Hero Celebration and Key Ceremony on Friday at 7752 N. Weeping Cherry Lane at the Ranches. The public is invited to walk through the home from 2-4 p.m. The ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. when Sgt. 1st Class Gordon Ewell will be handed the keys to his new home.
The celebration is free and includes a barbecue and entertainment.
Alta Vista Homes LLC, Hot Home of Utah and the nonprofit groups Homes for Our Troops and Mike's Guardian Eagle Foundation joined together to build a home for Ewell. Ewell returned from Iraq with linjuries that make him unable to work and support his family.
