I'd like to welcome Ryan Larsen (Readers', Forum, May 18) to his first day of reading Section A. There can be no other explanation for his myopic observation that President Bush has received a "free pass" from the media and Democratic Party. Not a week goes by where Democrats don't blame the president for every single national problem. With no meaningful legislation to their credit over the last two years, criticizing Bush is the crowning achievement of the Democrat-controlled Congress.
