Two Book Arts intensive workshops coming in June

Reinvent the traditions of bookbinding in two unique workshops hosted by the Book Arts Program at the J. Willard Marriott Library, University of Utah campus.

What: Shape, Scrape and Paint: Altering Surfaces Intensive Workshop

Instructor: Don Glaister, Washington

When: June 4-7, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Where: Book Arts Studio, Marriott Library, First Floor

Fee: $300; materials, $55

What: Cracking the Code With Mixmaster Scrap Intensive Workshop

Instructor: Tim Ely, Washington

When: June 10, 11, 13, 14, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Where: ART 362, Art and Architecture Building

Fee: $300; materials, $55
