A 60-year-old missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was killed in a car crash Tuesday morning in Kirtland, Ohio.
Sister Karen Ann Deschamps of St. George was killed in the crash, according to a statement from the LDS Church. Her husband, 63-year-old Randall Deschamps, was critically injured and taken to a nearby hospital, the church statement said.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with them, their family and friends at this difficult time," the church said in the statement.
Little information was immediately available about the crash and the couple. The two were serving as Kirtland Historic Sites missionaries in the Ohio-Cleveland Mission.
