The Salt Lake Art Center has announced that Heather Ferrell will become its new executive director at the end of July.
Ferrell, who until recently served as executive director and curator of the Salina Art Center in Salina, Kan., is returning to her home state, where she once worked at the Utah Arts Council and the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art in Logan.
With more than 11 years of curatorial and administrative experience, her background in museum practice, fine art, arts education and research will enhance SLAC's existing reputation as one of the city's finest centers for the visual arts.
