Donald Trump greets Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney after announcing his endorsement of Romney.
Associated Press
When Mitt Romney stated that he is "not concerned about the very poor," this of course, created a firestorm in the political talk of the day. When, taken in context, his comment is actually a compliment to the current administration. President Obama's policies and practices have helped to create the "safety net" which Romney referred too.
If any current and/or future opponent to his election as president uses his "misspoken" statement against him, we can and will see these opponents as what they really are, politicians whose only interest is to try to better their own position.
